Fun Things to Do!
Fun Things to Do with Toddlers
Toddlers need opportunities to learn about their world as they learn
through their senses. What better way than with fun toddlers crafts for
Fall? With the help of Mother Nature and creative tools, toddlers
can learn about the changing season through these fall toddler
activities.
Fall Walk with Toddlers
Taking a walk is a great way to begin fall toddler activities.
Before your walk, or for a morning activity decorate brown bags with
crayons. As you walk, invite your child (or children) to collect leaves
and place them into the bag. Upon returning look through the leaves and
talk about the change in colors.
If you do not find coloured leaves, you can paint the leaves with the
art activity suggested below.
Fall Art
Painting Leaves
Turn green leaves into fall leaves with paint. Prepare three
containers with non-toxic tempera paints- fill with red, yellow and
orange paint. Help toddlers to paint their leaves either with a paint
brush or dipping them into the containers. These make a very nice
decoration in a bowl as well.
Leaf Bracelet
Cut a strip of paper to fit the child’s wrist- but longer. Place
paper down on a table and stick leaves on one side. When dry, wrap
around the child’s wrist and tape to keep it on.
